Tenant Employee Access
All tenants are required to issue their employees access cards (See the ACCESS CARD & PHONE TAG form in the FORMS section) in order to receive authorized building access before and after normal building hours. Access cards are provided by the Property Management Office. For security purposes, requests for access cards submitted with incomplete information will be denied.
When an employee leaves your Company, the access card number assigned to that person should be retrieved and given to the Property Management Office. The Property Management Office will then deactivate the card in the system. The access system serves as a deterrent to unauthorized entry into the building; therefore, it is imperative that each tenant provide the Property Management Office with updates of personnel changes as they occur.
After hours and weekend entry is possible for authorized employees with the access control card. Tenants must have their access card and suite keys to enter the building and the suite. The security officer is not able to open suite doors and is restricted to provide access to the building. An authorized access card is always required.
If a tenant’s employee is locked out of their suite after regular business hours, they will need to contact a colleague who has the appropriate key or access card to come to the building and provide access. In the event of an emergency where a colleague is not available to assist, a building engineer will verify with the Tenant Contact that access can be provided for the employee and then be dispatched to provide access. Please note that this service will incur a charge of $200 to cover 2 hours of overtime and travel time. This fee will be included on the tenant’s next rent statement. We strongly encourage all tenants to ensure that employees carry their suite key and access card when in the building after hours to avoid delays and additional charges.
Tenant Vendor Access
All vendors that are requested to perform services for a tenant that involves after-hours access to the building must be pre-authorized at least 48 hours in advance of work to be performed. Please send the vendors Certificate of Insurance BEFORE vendor arrives on property. The vendor insurance requirements can be found under the FORMS section.
